While monkeys are fun and interesting to learn about, they should not be kept as pets. Keeping monkeys as pets is extremely cruel and unnatural for them, as they are usually hunted from their natural habitat and then held in abhorrent conditions until they can be sold on the underground animal trafficking market. In addition, most of the monkey species are endangered due to environmental factors and human encroachment.
